SoloBucks is provided free of charge, with no account or sign-up required. It converts a salary figure (annual, monthly, or weekly) into an hourly rate, adjusts for vacation and overtime, and suggests a freelance invoice rate with a self-employment markup applied, entirely in your browser.

SoloBucks applies a flat self-employment markup and a standard hours-per-year baseline to convert a salary figure into a suggested rate. Those are generalized assumptions, not a reflection of your specific situation — your actual self-employment tax rate, health insurance costs, business expenses, software and equipment costs, local market rates, and client-specific overhead (platform fees, invoicing time, unpaid admin work) can all push your real minimum rate meaningfully higher or lower than what's shown here. Treat the result as a reasonable starting point for your own math, not a final answer, and adjust it based on your actual costs and what your specific market will bear.
SoloBucks doesn't use accounts or server-side storage. The only thing saved locally is your light/dark theme preference — none of your salary figures or calculation results are retained after you close or refresh the page.
SoloBucks is built to support two ad slots served through an ad network, currently inactive. If activated, ads are subject to that network's own advertising policies in addition to these terms. See our Privacy Policy for more detail on how that would work.
SoloBucks is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SoloBucks and its creators aren't liable for any damages — direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service, including any rate-setting or business decision made based on its calculations.
